Software Developer 2 - - CHICO

Auctiva is looking for multiple Software Developers ranging from mid to senior level. Successful candidates should be highly motivated, have a lot of initiative and the desire to work on database driven web applications and services using the latest development technologies and tools.

You will be responsible for designing and developing significant new functionality as well as helping to maintain the existing websites and windows services. You will work with other engineers, support staff and other areas of the company in our fast paced development environment.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Development experience with MS Windows
  • 1 yrs OO programming/design, including experience with C# or C
  • 1 yrs web application development experience
  • Experience with ASP.Net greatly desired
  • Skilled in the software development life cycle, relational database design and SQL Server 2000 programming using stored procedures
  • Demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment

Product Manager - - CHICO and SAN JOSE

Auctiva is seeking a Product Manager who can act as the primary point of contact for one or more of our multiple product offerings. Successful candidates will have strong leadership and project management skills, and excellent time management skills with a proven track record of bringing a project to completion. They will also need strong oral and written communication skills, team building skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of organization.

The Product Manager role will be to drive the schedule and delivery of our products. They will be responsible for helping to define target milestones and making sure they are met on time. They will work with Engineering, Marketing, Content, QA and Graphic Design teams to make sure that all stakeholders are kept fully informed of project status and progress.

They will be responsible for product analysis, feature tracking and preventing feature creep. They will lead the coordination of regular project review meetings and be able to report to management the status of the project at any time.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in technical product management or software development
  • 3 years direct product management experience
  • A solid technical background and creativity in problem solving
  • Prior experience in application development, delivery & implementation
  • Experience working with web and internet based products or services.
  • Experience in the online auction industry would be a huge plus.

Development Manager - - CHICO

Auctiva is looking for Development Managers to manage a team of 4-5 developers on both new and existing projects. Successful candidates should be highly motivated, have a lot of initiative, and be able to meet the ongoing demands of the company in a fast paced development environment. Must have the ability to motivate and demonstrate technical leadership while also being a part of the actual coding and development process.

You will be responsible for designing and developing significant new functionality as well as helping to maintain the existing websites and windows services. In managing a team of engineers, you will be expected to assign tasks and be able to establish priorities, do code reviews, and provide guidance to junior software engineers.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least 1+ years of development with Microsoft Windows and object oriented design
  • 4+ years of either C++ or C# programming
  • 2+ years of web application development using Microsoft .NET
  • Must be very technical and able to manage complex technical projects
  • Skilled in the software development life cycle, relational database design and SQL Server 2000 programming using stored procedures
  • Demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills
